A one-day workshop entitled Structure and astrophysics from nuclear reactions with exotic nuclei will be held at the University of the West of Scotland (Paisley campus)

on Tuesday 14th July 2009. The workshop will provide theoretical and experimental

nuclear physicists with an opportunity to focus on those reactions only recently made

available by the development of radioactive ion beams, to discuss the latest advances
in their respective fields, and to consider new, possibly common, avenues of research.

The list of speakers includes:

  • Wilton Catford (Surrey)
  • Sean Freeman (Manchester)
  • Brian Fulton (York)
  • Ron Johnson (Surrey)
  • Steven Pain (UWS)
  • Marek Ploszajczak (GANIL)
  • Riccardo Raabe (GANIL)
  • Phil Woods (Edinburgh)
