On the 1st July, Dr. Steven Pain, Dr. Daniele Mengoni, and Stephanie Brien joined our group. Steven is a new lecturer in the group, who was appointed earlier in 2009. Daniele is working as a PDRA funded by the UWS AGATA grant from the STFC. Daniele will spend a large fraction of his time at the Legnaro Laboratory in Italy, helping to set-up and run AGATA. Stephanie (pictured left) is a new PhD student who graduated from UWS in summer 2009. Stephanie will be supervised by Steven Pain and will work on transfer reactions around N=82 at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. We have recently appointed another new PhD student, Valentina Liberati, from La Sapienza (Roma); Valentina will join us on 1st September. |
